8th International Workshop on Flow and Fracture of Advanced Glasses

Welcoming message

Welcome to the 8th International Workshop on Flow and Fracture of Advanced Glasses (FFAG8)!

Dear Colleagues,

It is our honor to announce that the 8th FFAG will be held at Kagurazaka in Tokyo (Japan) from October 27th to 30th 2024.

The FFAG has provided unique opportunities to the experts of glass science and technology in the world for discussing the mechanical properties of glass since the 1st workshop held at Rennes, France in 2001. Although the workshop has been halted 7 years due to the COVID pandemic, we are pleased to start again this wonderful event this year. We are looking forward to many presentations from glass experts around the world. We also welcome any participants who would like to learn the latest topics regarding progress on glass mechanical properties.

Kagurazaka is located near central Tokyo and is a town with traditional calmness. You can experience both new and old aspects of Tokyo. Kagurazaka is also known as hidden gourmet spots and stylish shopping. We would like to provide conveniences and information so that all participants especially from overseas can spend a comfortable time.
